Background A rabbit isotype control is an antibody of the same class (isotype) of immunoglobulin as the specific mouse antibody, but is either myeloma-derived antibody of unknown specificity, or is raised against an antigen that is presumed not to be present on or in the cells under study. Isotype control antibodies are used for the estimation of non-specific binding of target primary antibodies to cell surface antigens. IMGENEX offers a variety of rabbit isotype controls including fluorescene conjugates and azide-free formats. |
Application Notes
Naive rabbit sera was purified using affinity chromatography.

Intracellular FACS analysis of mouse TLR6 (IMG-527) polyclonal antibody (red), rabbit isotype control (green), RAW cells alone (shaded). Two micrograms of antibodies were used. Goat anti rabbit FITC (Imgenex, 20302) was used as secondary. |
