Background

BDCA-2 (CD303/DLEC/CLECSF7/CLECSF1) Blood Dendritic Cell Antigen 2 protein / C-type (calcium dependent, carbohydraterecognition domain) lectin, superfamily member 7/11. BDCA-2 is a type II membrane glycoprotein of 213 amino acids with a molecular mass of 25 kD which belongs to the group II of human calcium-dependent (C-type) lectin receptors (CLRs) with a single carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD) predicting mannosetype specificity. Expression of BDCA-2 is restricted to the immature plasmacytoid DC subset on which BDCA-2 is involved in ligand internalization, processing and presentation, as well as in inhibition of IFN-a/b synthesis.

Antigen
Human recombinant BDCA-2 was used as immunogen for this antibody.

Application Notes
*Optimal dilution of BDCA-2 antibody should be determined by each laboratory for each application
