Background FOXO1A is a 655 amino acid protein belonging to the forkhead family of transcription activators which is characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. The specific function of this protein has not yet been determined, however, it may play a role in myogenic growth and differentiation. It is also known to have a tumor suppressor function by inhibiting cell proliferation and survival. When fused to PAX3 it is known to cause alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. |
Antigen
A portion of amino acids 250-300 of human FOXO1A protein was used as the immunogen. |
Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, mouse, monkey, chimpanzee, dog, rat and cow, 86% homologous in chicken, 91% homologous in puffer fish and 84% homologous in opossum. |
