Background CUEDC2 is a 287 amino acid protein belonging to the CUEDC2 family with a CUE domain. CUEDC2 is known to interact with PGR and ESR1 with the help of its CUE domain. The exact function of CUEDC2 is yet unknown, but reports suggest that it interacts with PR and promotes progesterone-induced PR degradation by the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. CUEDC2 participates in ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of PGR and ESR1 and thus control their protein levels and plays an important role in breast cancer proliferation. Studies on CUEDC2 suggest that it acts as an adaptor protein that interacts with IKK and regulates IKK dephosphorylation by recruiting PP1. |
Antigen
A portion of amino acid 50-100 of human CUEDC2 was used as the immunogen. |
Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, rhesus monkey, 93% homologous in pig, horse, mouse, dog and cow, and 80% homologous in rat. |
