Background
The distal-less homeobox 3 (DLX3) protein is a putative transcriptional activator that has been implicated during development and differentiation of epithelial tissues. This is a homeodomain transcription factor in vertebrates, related to Distal-less in Drosophila, which is expressed in differentiating epidermal cells, in neural crest, hair follicles, dental epithelium, mesenchyme, the optic and olfactory placodes, limb bud, placenta, and in the cement gland, which is located in the extreme anterior neural plate in Xenopus embryos. |
Antigen
A portion of amino acids 220-270 of DLX3 was used as the immunogen. |
Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, horse, opossum, cattle, chimpanzee and dog, and 93% homologous in rat and mouse. |
