Background
FLII (Flightless-1 homolog, FLIIH) is a 1269 amino acid containing protein with a gelsolin-like actin binding domain and an N-terminal leucine rich protein-protein interaction domain acts as a coactivator in transcriptional activation by hormone-activated nuclear receptors (NR) and in conjunction with NCOA2 and CARM1. FLII is involved in estrogen hormone signaling and early embryonic development. The protein also plays a role in regulation of cytoskeletal rearrangements involved in cytokinesis and cell migration. Deletion of the FLII gene may be a cause of Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS).

Antigen
A portion of amino acids 90-140 of human FLIIH was used as the immunogen for this antibody.

Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, rhesus monkey, horse, mouse, rat and chimpanzee, 94% homologous in cattle and dog, and 89% homologous in chicken.
