Background
Brachyury is a 435 amino acid containing embryonic nuclear transcription factor binding to the palindromic T-site. It binds to the T-box in the N-terminus to regulate the genes required for mesodermal differentiation. It is the earliest indicator of mesoderm formation and differentiation. Brachyury is expressed during gastrula and neurula stages in involuting mesoderm and in the notochord.

Antigen
A portion of amino acids 350-400 of human Brachyury was used as the immunogen.

Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, chimpanzee, and rhesus monkey, and 93% homologous in rat and mouse.
