Application Notes
We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. High temperature treatment of formalin-fixed tissue sections with 1 mM EDTA buffer, pH 9.0 must be performed prior to the immunostaining. Specificity: This antibody labels melanocytes and is useful tool for the identification of melanomas and clear cell sarcomas. Anti-Melanoma, PNL2, seems to be a melanocyte antibody of autoimmune origin as it does not react with the non-melanocytic peptide antigen used for immunization.
