Background Researchers have indicated that they want access to novel target antibodies quickly to aid in their research. IMGENEX is pleased to be able to offer researchers access to cutting-edge products that are still in the process of characterization/validation. IMGENEX’s ‘IMX’ antibody line is shown by ELISA to bind to the peptide used as immunogen. Investigators should empirically determine the suitability of the antibody, including optimal dilutions, for other applications of interest.
 |
We cannot guarantee that the yet-to-be-fully validated antibody will work in any application other than in an ELISA against the peptide used as immunogen and therefore cannot offer a refund if the antibody does not work in your application. |
 |
The antibody is offered at a lower price compared to a more highly validated antibody. |
 |
We are not able to provide the immunogen for the antibodies, but do provide the amino acid sequence. |
These antibodies are not fully validated and we appreciate your feedback. Customer feedback is used to help generate testing methodologies which can lead to further product validation or withdrawal.
NALP6 is a short NALP functioning in immune cells to coordinate the transduction of pro-inflammatory signals to the activation of NF-kappaB and pro-caspase-1. An 892 amino acid containing cytoplasmic protein, NALP6 belongs to the NLRP family with a DAPIN domain, five LRR (leucine-rich) repeats and a NACHT domain. NALPs form a subfamily within the larger CATERPILLER protein family. NALP6 is mainly helpful in the activation of proinflammatory caspases (e.g., CASP1) via their involvement in multiprotein complexes called inflammasomes and promote activation of NF-KB. Highly expressed in granulocytes, but lower levels of NALP6 is detected in T-cells. |
Antigen
Amino acids 166-183 of human NALP6 GPAEEPEPGRARRSDTHT protein were used as the immunogen. |
Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, chimpanzee, monkey, 83% homologous in mouse, 77% homologous in cow and 72% homologous in dog and rat. |
