Background NALP9 is a 991 amino acid containing cytoplasmic protein belonging to the NLRP family with a DAPIN domain, three LRR (leucine-rich) repeats and a NACHT domain. Also called NOD6, NALP9 is a novel intracellular protein involved in inflammation and apoptosis. NALP9 may play a regulatory role in the innate immune system as similar family members belong to the signal-induced multiprotein complex, the inflammasome, which activates the pro-inflammatory caspases, Caspase-1 and Caspase-5.
Antigen
Amino acids 859-875 KTLKLGHNEIGDTGVRQ of human NALP9 protein were used as the immunogen.
Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human (isoform CRA_b), 94% homologous in monkey, 82% homologous in mouse and 70% homologous in rat.
