Background
Researchers have indicated that they want access to novel target antibodies quickly to aid in their research. IMGENEX is pleased to be able to offer researchers access to cutting-edge products that are still in the process of characterization/validation. IMGENEX’s ‘IMX’ antibody line is shown by ELISA to bind to the peptide used as immunogen. Investigators should empirically determine the suitability of the antibody, including optimal dilutions, for other applications of interest.

NALP11 is a 1033 amino acid containing cytoplasmic protein belonging to the NLRP family with a DAPIN domain, six LRR (leucine-rich) repeats and a NACHT domain. Reports suggest that it is a short NALP involved in inflammation potential. NALPs are implicated in the activation of proinflammatory caspases (e.g., CASP1) via their involvement in multiprotein complexes called inflammasomes. The DAPIN domain is necessary and sufficient for suppression of NF-kappa B activation induced by TNF and for inducing IL-1B secretion in collaboration with Caspase-1. It is involved in interaction with PYCARD. |

Amino acids 467-483 of human NALP11 PNYLIPSGSREYKEKRE protein were used as the immunogen. |
Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human (isoform CRA_a) and chimpanzee, and 88% homologous in monkey. |
