Background
RNF31, ring finger protein 31, is an E3 ubiquitin ligase also known as ZIBRA and HOIP is 110-120kDa.  There are a number of functions attributed to RNF31 (HOIP) including zinc-ion binding and protein-poly ubiquitination (1-3).   The NF-kB pathway is positively regulated by RNF31.  T cell activation through T cell receptors is also modulated through RNF31. Based on its monoubiquitination of DAX-1, a mammalian orphan receptor associated with steroidogenesis, RNF31 (HOIP) also appears to be a requisite co-regulator of steroidogenic pathways (4).

Antigen
A portion of amino acids 950-1000 from human RNF31 (HOIP) was used as the immunogen for this antibody.

Accession number: NP_060469.4

Application Notes
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen for this antibody is 100% homologous in human, 94% in new world monkey, horse, naked mole rat, crab-eating macaque, rhesus monkey, white-cheeked gibbon, common chimpanzee, and sumatran orangutan, 88% in guinea pig, dog, common rabbit, and pig, 82% in panda, chinese hamster, african bush elephant, gray short-tailed opossum, platypus, rat, and clawed frog.

Immunohistochemical analysis of RNF31 (HOIP) using RNF31 antibody. Human rectum probed with RNF31 antibody at 5 ug/ml.
